My story...
I grew up in upstate New York and ventured to Colorado to attend Adams State University. I studied English, art history, art education and psychology. After college graduation, I taught middle school art in Denver, where I met my husband, Tim, who is also a teacher and currently works at Park Elementary. After teaching in Denver for two years, my husband and I moved to Taiwan to teach English for a year. The following summer we bike toured Spain and France for a few months and eventually moved to beautiful Durango. A few years ago we were blessed with our son, Sonni.
I enjoy reading, sketching, baking, running, mountain biking, practicing yoga, crocheting, camping and traveling. My husband is attempting to get me jazzed about rock climbing again, though it's been a slow progression! I honestly can't think of another thing I'd like to do besides teach. I LOVE it! My students give me energy, and I love the creativity involved when planning lessons.
